Implementation and update schedule

Implementation of the RIS3 KHK will be ensured by action plans, which will be elaborated in the form of concrete projects of activity types contributing to the achievement of objectives. The action plans will consist of interventions, tools and projects that will be prepared in the form of project fiches, specifying the specific bearers, partners, project objectives, project issues, project schedule, etc. Action plans will be developed in cooperation with the bearers and partners of individual interventions/tools/projects, which will be discussed/commented on/(not)recommended for inclusion in the action plan by regional partnership structures, i.e. the Council for Research, Development and Innovation of the Hradec Králové Region (RVVI KHK) and regional thematic innovation platforms. The action plans will be approved for a two-year period with the RVVI KHK discussing the evaluation of the implementation of projects included in the action plans every year. Strategic interventions, which are projects of strategic importance meeting the criteria approved by the RVVI KHK (e.g. the criterion of the impact of strategic intervention on the corporate sector, the criterion of cooperation of multiple subjects on the project, or the criterion of impact on the regional sector domain), have a special position among these projects. Employees of the Center for Investment, Development and Innovation - RIS3 developers -  are involved in the processing of strategic intervention project fiches, motivating the bearers of interventions to meet the above criteria. The inclusion of the project in the Action Plan of the Regional RIS3 Strategy as a strategic intervention is decided by RVVI KHK members on the basis of the recommendation/non-recommendation of the RIS3 developer, who prepares reviews for each strategic intervention submitted for inclusion in the Action Plan. For 2017 and 2018, the Hradec Králové Region announced a subsidy program for the preparation of strategic interventions. Applicants in the subsidy program may be public entities and, if the conditions of the regional subsidy program are successfully met, they may receive up to 500,000 CZK for the preparation of the strategic intervention. This subsidy program was announced within the Smart Accelerator project of the Hradec Králové Region, which is implemented by the Hradec Králové Region together with the Center for Investment, Development and Innovation to support the development of the innovation environment of the Hradec Králové Region. Other activities of the Smart Accelerator project of the Hradec Králové Region include educational events for stakeholders of the regional innovation environment, mapping the innovation environment of the region (creating analyses, questionnaire surveys among companies or research organizations, etc.). The project also provides meetings of the RVVI KHK and meetings of other working groups (e.g. regional thematic innovation platforms or the Platform for the Regional Innovation Brand). The Hradec Králové Region is currently preparing the follow-up Smart Accelerator project of the Hradec Králové Region II, within which it intends to continue supporting the development of the research and innovation environment of the region.
