Digital Innovation Hub Northern and Eastern Bohemia (DIH Northeast)
Our new cooperative project!
What is a digital innovation hub?
The core of the DIH Northeast Digital Innovation Hub is made up of a consortium of organisations from the Liberec and Hradec Králové regions, its members including regional development agencies, professional associations, university departments, research institutes, and companies that offer digital products and services.
The mission of the DIH is to act as a point of intersection for all organisations and at the same time a contact point for customers, small and medium-sized businesses, and public administration from the Liberec and Hradec Králové regions. The DIH offers solutions in the digitisation of processes, products, and services and consultancy in the field of grant resources. It also focuses on the use of artificial intelligence and on cyber security.
The DIH organises educational and networking events and generally spreads awareness of all the modern trends in ones and zeros.
Increasing competitiveness and efficiency at companies and in public administration has a fundamental impact on the region and brings a range of benefits to customers. We save our customers time and money and increase the quality of their products and services.
Why use the services of the DIH?
- We save you the hassle of looking for the right solution and the right supplier – there is plenty for you to choose from: We provide a single point of contact with a wide portfolio of digital products, services, and their providers for small and medium-sized businesses and public administration.
- We help you execute your plans and achieve your goals: We are there throughout the process of digitising the customer, from initial audit to testing the proposed solution and its implementation.
- We advise you on where to find money: Competitive businesses and efficient public administration are both in the public interest, meaning that there are programmes currently underway from which you can draw public funds for digitisation projects.
The members of the consortium
Development agencies, professional associations, university departments, research institutes, and companies based mainly in the Liberec region and Hradec Králové region are all members of the consortium. Most of them, however, are national in their reach:

Our objectives in points:
- To make know-how of digital transformation accessible to small and medium-sized businesses and public administration.
- Digital technologies increase the competitiveness of small and medium-sized businesses in the region, streamline their processes, increase labour productivity, and save them time, and in turn money.
- To improve the quality of products or services offered by small and medium-sized businesses in the region.
- To streamline processes at and improve the quality of services offered by public administration.
- To concentrate knowledge in the sphere of digitisation in the region and in doing so increase the level of digitisation among local businesses and public administration.
- To spread awareness and in doing so motivate companies and public administration to digitise.
- To become an EDIH - European Digital Innovation Hub. To connect with emerging EDIH throughout the European Union and bring their know-how to the Liberec and Hradec Králové regions.
The European Digital Innovation HUB network:
We are seeking EDIH status. The European Digital Innovation Hub network (EDIH - part of the European Commission's Digital Europe programme) will become a cornerstone in the modernisation of the old continent in the years to come. Hubs will connect small and medium-sized businesses and public administration to those having digital knowledge, both within their own regions (through research centres, universities, start-ups, etc.) and across Europe (through partner EDIH). Our customers will therefore gain access to the services of the entire EDIH network.
A DIH in practical terms:
A DIH is something like a point of interaction, a place that is open to clients, small and medium-sized businesses, municipalities, cities, regions, and their organisations.
The experts at a DIH recommend the best available solutions and guide you through the process involved in digitising processes, products, or services from beginning to end.
A DIH builds around it a community of companies, organisations, and individuals, strives to educate them and encourages them to share examples of good practice, and generally endeavours to take the digital expertise of the region to a higher level.
